I currently work as a Software Consultant for VEGA Space division who have recently acquired the Space Division of Anite Systems.
We mostly provide software services to the European Space Operations Centre (ESOC) here in Darmstadt, Germany. ESOC is one of several ESA sites.
My work recently has mainly been on ESOC's SCOS-2000 based Mission Control Systems (MCS). These provide the Spacecraft Controller (SPACON) and Mission Specialist's primary monitoring and control interface to a satellite. The MCS are written mainly in C++ and run on either Solaris/SPARC or Linux/x86 based systems.
